# Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost'

Hi @jharries,

You can try the solution mentioned in [this post](https://community.kinsta.com/t/error-at-creating-mysql/2815/31), which addresses the same error message. However, if you don’t have an active working local site in your DevKinsta app, it might be easier to start fresh by deleting the DevKinsta containers, images, and volumes in Docker Desktop and then relaunching the DevKinsta app.
