# Can't create database when importing site

Hi,

I am trying to import a site. I get this error in the log:

Error in operation SITE\_CREATION, step database: Error: Error (1): RERROR 1007 (HY000) at line 1: Can’t create database ‘EQ2\_Light’; database exists

How can I resolve this issue? I am not sure how/where to delete a partial database.

Hey @Noelle_Steegs 👋,  
This might be due to a previously failed import.  
Open DevKinsta and select any site. At the top, you should see a `Database manager` button

Once there, at the top of your screen you should be able to see a path like the following:

[MySQL] » [devkinsta\_db] » Database: YOURDATABASENAME

Click on `devkinsta_db`, then check the box at the side of EQ2\_Light and then click the button.  
This will delete the database called EQ2\_Light and its contents, so be sure you don’t need that and that is currently not in use by another local site.

Thank you Alessandro. Because of time constraints I went for a workaround, where I renamed the site in My Kinsta. After that the site imported without problems. Have a nice day. 🙂
