# Deploying it to the staging causes HTTP 500 error

Hello,
I developed a WP website with a custom theme on my local machine. Everything is up-to-date: WP version, plugins and DevKinsta.
Deploying from local to staging via DevKinsta causes HTTP 500 error.
How can I fix this ?

Hi @Nicolas, welcome to DevKinsta!
If the 500 error is occurring once the site reaches Kinsta, please reach out to our Support Team in the MyKinsta chat box. They would be able to see exactly what’s causing the error when the site reaches Kinsta. It could be a difference in PHP versions but that’s just a guess.
Again, please reach out to our live support team and they will help you out! If it does end up being a DevKinsta issue, please let us know!
