# Kinsta Gitlab CI how to avoid updating some files

Hi, there,  
I try to use Kinsta/Gitlab CI/CD but some of the folders or files like “uploads” should not be updated each time by Git. May I know anyone can kindly let me know how to make this happen?

Hi @sam . Welcome to DevKinsta! At this time DevKinsta pushes all files and database. We have received a [feature request here](https://community.kinsta.com/t/ability-to-ignore-development-files-from-syncing/1044) however and recommend posting on there so our developers are aware.
