# Transfer site away from Kinsta

We need to help a client move from Kinsta to a standard LAMP stack. There’s plenty of documentation on using Kinsta, but nothing about switching away. We have to deliver a WordPress site with no mention of Kinsta or plug-ins etc.

Does anyone have any guides available? I haven’t been able to find any useful information on Google or here

If you’re just looking to migrate a site from Kinsta to elsewhere, your best bet may be a migrations plugin.

We have guides for both Migrate Guru and Duplicator:

All Kinsta plans come with one or more free migrations. But if you prefer to migrate your site yourself, we recommend the WordPress Duplicator plugin.

As for “We have to deliver a WordPress site with no mention of Kinsta”, the Kinsta MU plugin adds Kinsta-branded links in the WordPress admin. To prevent this, you’ll need to delete the plugin in the **/mu-plugins** folder inside the **/wp-content** directory:
