# You didnt grant permission to edit the hosts file

Hi,
I am new to using DevKinsta and i am unable to install a site, and to delete it.
I get the You didn’t grant permission to edit the host file DK0028 error.
Im on Windows 11, and running as administrator. Anti Virus is disabled. And I am stuck cannot get past this. Any help would be appreciated

Also there is no confirmation dialog box coming up that will enable it to happen
please advise

🤔 Even in administrator mode, a dialog box should be appearing here when importing or creating a site. I’m sorry for the trouble here. Are you running on DevKinsta 2.3.0? Would you mind re-installing DevKinsta with Admin permissions to see if that helps? [It can be downloaded here](https://kinsta.com/devkinsta/).
