How can i transfer ownership from a user no longer employed?

Hi,

I’m set up as a company admin and I see the company owner is someone who left our employ a number of years ago. The online help says the ownership can only be transferred from the owner to an admin, but the owner cannot log in…
Is there any other way to achieve this so we can remove that person’s account?
