Being able to run Apache would be helpful (I am aware that NGINX is the recommend set-up for WordPress). This will help mimic larger varieties of live server configurations due to the popularity of Apache.

I second this! I can see that a webserver dropdown already exists upon creating a custom Wordpress site, but it’s disabled. So maybe they’re still working on this.
Would be a very nice feature as all of our staging/production are running on Apache and we would be able to test our .htaccess files locally. Another benefit would be using the WP Rest API, as it does not function completely on Nginx.
Hope this feature will be released soon!
