is there any way to mirror my Kinsta live site locally but connect to the live database?

There isn’t currently an official way with DevKinsta to pull a site and then connect back to the live database on Kinsta. However, something you could try would be to establish an external database connection from your computer to the live site. This would involve connecting using an SSH tunnel. Then, you could try updating the wp-config.php file and update the database connection information to use the SSH tunnel and external database connection.
This wouldn’t be an officially supported method of connecting to the database however, and performance would be suboptimal.
