Devkinsta_db mariadb restart loop

This issue is the same issue noted in this ticket: Devkinsta_db not starting

I have attempted to delete and remove the devkinsta_db container then restart DevKinsta and while it does recreate the container, the issue persists after the restart.

This only started occurring after DevKinsta was upgraded and restarted.

Like the other poster mentioned, I do understand this is a free tool and appreciate you putting it out for public use, but am hoping your team can dig a bit deeper into this to find a solution that will not involve completely removing and re-installing the app.

I’ve included some output from the logs for the devkinsta_db container below so you can see what’s currently occurring on my end.

I’ve also attempted a few other things such as running: docker run -it --rm --volumes-from <container_id> mariadb:latest bash mysql_upgrade -u root -p however this also fails.

Question about 2.13.14

For info I have another install on another PC with this issue (I’m the poster this topic refers to). So there is clearly something a miss and not because of changing permissions as I first thought. Looking at the logs it seem to me that the container is expecting to upgrade the mariadb but cannot because of a missing env variable?

Can you give a specific procedure you followed from start to finish for clarity? I’m seeing that you’ve suggested running:
docker network connect devkinsta_network devkinsta_db

But I’m unsure if this was done after the “emergency fix” or if any other steps were performed?

Hello everyone Once again, we are sorry for this inconvenience. There was an issue with the 2.13.3 version that caused issues with pushing from DevKinsta to Kinsta environments. We have fixed this in 2.13.4 version but it introduced other issues due to database version updates and other parameters.
