Feature Request: Option to Install WordPress in Custom Subdirectory (e.g., /webroot)

Hi DevKinsta team,

We love using DevKinsta for developing and managing our WordPress websites locally—thanks for the great tool!

We have a small feature request that would really streamline our workflow:
Could you add the option to install WordPress in a custom subdirectory during the site creation process?

In our setup, all projects are structured to place WordPress inside a folder called /webroot, rather than the root of the project directory. Right now, we have to manually move all the WordPress files into this subdirectory after creating the site, and update the configuration accordingly. Having this option built into DevKinsta would save us time and help standardize our local environments.

Thanks in advance for considering this!

Best regards,
René Loos

Hello @rene_raadhuis :waving_hand:

Welcome to the community!

I’ve passed on the feature request to our developers. :+1:

The DevKinsta is in maintenance/security updates mode only for some time now, so feature requests are on hold. There’s no guarantee if and when this will be done, but I made sure this was passed to the appropriate department.

We are happy to hear that you enjoy using DevKinsta! :tada: If there’s any update down the road, I’ll notify you here.

Kind regards
