Feature request: SMTP for Wordpress

Thanks for making one of the best Wordpress hosting platforms out there. Kinsta has introduced many features that help Wordpress developers avoid repetitive tasks, such as updating plugins.

Kinsta recommends setting up a SMTP server to improve email deliverability. This usually means relying on a third-party plugin and paying for the service (the free send limits are pretty low).

Would it be feasible for Kinsta to offer a SMTP server as part of its hosting package, with configuration and email logging built into the Kinsta Wordpress plugin?

Is there a reason this has been avoided to date? It seems like a quick win.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for your kind words about our WordPress hosting platform! We’re thrilled to hear that our features are making a positive impact specially for developers.

Regarding your suggestion about incorporating an SMTP server into our hosting package, At the time, it was a management decision to focus on our default transactional email service due to various considerations. However, your input is always valuable to us, and I will ensure that your request is submitted as a feature request internally. We hope that it can be reconsidered for future updates.

Thank you again for reaching out with your suggestions. We always appreciate hearing from our users and look forward to continuing to enhance our services!

Cheers!
