New version message deleted my DevKinsta and won't install

There was a message to download the latest version of DevKinsta. I clicked it which downloaded an exe. Double clicked this. It removed DevKinsta from my computer but did not install anything. Restarted the computer. Double clicked download again. Nothing happened.

Now I don’t have DevKinsta at all. I don’t know if it’s deleted any of my sites and I have know idea how to get it back up and running?

Hello Stuart :waving_hand:

Apologies for the delayed response.

I have opened DevKinsta on my device and it automatically updated to 2.13.5 version and I restarted without issues.

This is an unexpected behavior. Can you please tell us what is your operating system that you are using and if you still have main.log file on your device? If you do, please provide it here. Here’s how to obtain it: https://kinsta.com/docs/devkinsta/devkinsta-troubleshooting/error-codes/#viewing-the-application-log-file

Looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards :waving_hand:

Hi, thanks for your reply. Managed to get it up and running after another restart (Win 11).
But now I have another issue. I couldn’t pull down a site so I tried a manual download. It kept crashing with this error:
Error in operation SITE_CREATION, step importBackup: Error: Encountered an error: RangeError [ERR_CHILD_PROCESS_STDIO_MAXBUFFER]: stderr maxBuffer length exceeded

Hi, could you please check if you’re able to create a new site within the app? This will help us determine whether the issue is specific to the pull/push site action. Additionally, please send me via private message the Kinsta site domain you’re trying to pull for further review. Thank you!
