Can't sync website to DevKinsta

Q: Date/Time this occurred (Provide your time zone also)
A: Started happening last friday

Q: DevKinsta Version
A: 2.13.4

Q: OS Version
A: Latest version of Windows 11 Pro

Q: Docker Desktop Version
A: The outdated one I have to use in order for DevKinsta to work (4.29.0)

Q: Were any error codes or messages observed? If so, what were they?
A: Something bad happened

Q: Detailed Description of the Problem
A: Pushed a website from DevKinsta to Kinsta last friday, PC went to sleep during push, checked on the staging afterwards and it was stuck in a loop that caused a timeout. Contacted Kinsta support and they fixed the staging, but now I can’t pull the website to DevKinsta. It always says “Something bad happened” when it gets to downloading the website files. I try restarting everything multiple times.

Here are the logs (the website is Cain Lamarre):

Hi @etienne_clerc

Are you getting the same error when pulling the site using the “Create a new site” option in DevKinsta? Also, does creating a new default WordPress site through DevKinsta still work?

Hi Adrian,

Yes, “Create a new site” also gives me the same error, only for this website though, the other websites in my account work. So does creating a new default site.

And now I can’t open any of the sites:

Completely uninstalling and deleting everything from DevKinsta and Docker fixed it, guess I’ll have to do that every other week.

Hi @etienne_clerc Thanks for the update! Glad to hear that reinstalling DevKinsta and Docker helped get things running again — though I totally get that it’s not a fun fix to keep doing every couple of weeks.

We’ll definitely take a closer look to figure out what’s causing this so we can find a better, long-term solution. If you notice anything specific that happens right before it breaks again, feel free to let us know — that might help us pinpoint what’s going on faster. You mentioned that the issue is occurring on just one site, right?

Really appreciate your patience.

Hi @merineth,

Yes I think it started with a failed push this time.

I also found out yesterday when trying to only push the theme files that I couldn’t…

It only let’s me push when I check at least one file at the root of the website, which is weird.

Hi @etienne_clerc , thank you for providing that information! I’ve passed this along to our devs to see if we can try and improve the stability of this process.
