Pull Live site from Kinsta stuck

Q: Date/Time this occurred (Provide your time zone also)
A: 9/16/25 4pm CT

Q: DevKinsta Version
A: Version 2.13.5 (2.13.5.9020)

Q: OS Version
A: MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1 (24G90)

Q: Docker Desktop Version
A: 4.46.0 (204649)

Q: Were any error codes or messages observed? If so, what were they?
A: No errors, just frozen forever. All sites / environments affected.

Q: Detailed Description of the Problem
A: Start Site > Sync > Pull from Kinsta (Live) gets frozen on step #1: Creating site backup. It might’ve been after I updated my docker desktop, but no SSH or other settings have been changed the logs are not showing anything obvious to me. I also am unable to ‘Cancel’ this action, even after stopping the site or pausing all the docker containers and engine.

Follow Up: I was able to get past the first step after quitting and restarting many times. But now I cannot get past Downloading remote site. Even on our smallest website it won’t continue no matter what I do.

Hi @Jacob_Mompean

Welcome to the Kinsta Community!

I upgraded the Docker version to 4.46.0 to try to replicate the issue on my test Mac machine running macOS Sequoia, and I was able to pull a Kinsta site without any problems. It seems the issue is isolated to your machine. Could you please test whether you can create a fresh WordPress site within the app? Additionally, try the pull site action again. If it gets stuck or fails, please send me the main.log file via private message so I can investigate further. You can find our guide on how to copy the main.log file based on your machine.

Alternatively, if you don’t have any other local sites in the DevKinsta app, it might be easier to delete the Kinsta containers, images, and volumes to start fresh. Please note that deleting the Kinsta volumes will erase all your custom site data in the app.

Best,
